Governors Call For Change At Delaware River Port Authority

Governor Rendell and Governor Christie of New Jersey joined together to to call for an independent audit of the Delaware River Port Authority. The governors also want these watchdog groups to implement new policy changes. The agency operating in both states costs $300 million a year to run and the governors would like to see the no-tolls-for-employees and no-bid contracts to end, as well as enforce the Authority's board conflict of interest policy by not allowing board members to do political activities on DRPA time.

So far DRPA leaders are willing to take the proposals into consideration.
