Cong. Dent Faces Tough Challenge
According to the National Republican Congressional Committee, nine Republican incumbents may have some trouble being re-elected come November. One of those Congressman is Charlie Dent, who represents the 15th District which includes Berks, Montgomery, Lehigh and Northampton counties. Even though Dent has a strong fundraising history he is facing Bethlehem Mayor and businessman John Callahan who the Democrats believe is a strong candidate. Callahan is a self-proclaimed “practical, centrist, pro-business Democrat.” The race is predicted to be tight.
Dent has been a member of the U.S.Congress since 2005.
